No ice at all

How much ice should a Sub-Zero make in a day?

No single daily figure covers every Sub-Zero: production follows the model, the freezer setting and how hard the kitchen works the door. Denver Sub-Zero Repair Experts asks owners for a rate instead of an impression — empty the bin, note the clock, read the level three hours later, and repeat it a week on to see which way the machine is moving.

Pattern

What we usually find

  1. Scale over the inlet screen, taking a little off every fill. It shows up as a rate that has quietly halved long before it shows up as an empty bin.
  2. A compartment worked hard or set warmer than the 0°F Sub-Zero recommends, so each cube spends longer freezing and fewer of them arrive.
  3. House pressure that dips whenever another fixture draws, leaving a part-filled mould and a count that falls without anything actually failing.
  4. A bin nobody empties. A machine that has been told it is full has no reason to run, and the rate reads as zero.

Most often first. Order comes from what the visits keep turning up, not from a count.

Why a catalogue number will not settle it

Output is quoted per model under test conditions, so a figure that belongs to one cabinet says very little about another in a working kitchen. Two readings taken in your own kitchen, a week apart, say whether it is slowing.

Slowing is not the same as stopped

A machine that has slowed is being starved — less water each fill, or less time cold enough to freeze it. One that has stopped outright is a different question, and that one begins with the switch, the arm and the bin.

Before you call

Two minutes, before anyone comes out

  1. Empty the bin right out and write down the time before counting anything.
  2. Read the level again three hours later and keep that figure for the call.
  3. Fit a new cartridge if the life monitor has been asking for months.

That is as far as an owner should take it. If what you find does not match this page, call Denver Sub-Zero Repair Experts on (720) 903-2603 and the water path gets measured end to end.
